Gordo Taqueria

Gordo Taqueria, the iconic Mexican restaurant founded in 1977 in San Francisco, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first out-of-state location in Nashville, Tennessee. The new establishment will occupy 2,080 square feet of space and feature both indoor and outdoor seating, offering a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.

The menu at Gordo Taqueria will consist of a variety of delicious options, including burritos, quesadillas, crispy or soft tacos, and plates, staying true to its roots and culinary traditions. With five successful locations in California, this expansion marks a significant milestone for the beloved taqueria as it ventures beyond state lines.

In addition to Gordo Taqueria, Vancouver-headquartered Indochino is set to open a 1,617 square foot store in The Mill. Known for its custom-apparel, Indochino's new store will be the brand’s second Nashville location, following its existing store at 700 Eighth Ave. S. inside SomeraRoad’s Paseo South Gulch development. Indochino, renowned for its made-to-measure suits, shirts, blazers, slacks, and coats, boasts over 80 showrooms across North America.

Gordo Taqueria joins a growing list of vibrant dining establishments in Wedgewood-Houston, including Dos Santos, Mercado by Butchertown, and the forthcoming Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, all serving up delectable Mexican cuisine. The neighborhood is also set to welcome ten other restaurants and bars, including Pasits, Momotaro, Sushi Row, Aba, Sicilian Butcher, Ingrassia’s Italian Deli & Grocery, Lucas Sellers Wine, and two unnamed concepts from Boka Restaurant Group. 

Wedgewood-Houston's transformation into one of Nashville’s most dynamic and rapidly changing neighborhoods continues to attract new businesses and visitors, while mainstays like Bastion, The David Lusk Gallery, and Gabby’s Burgers and Fries maintain their near-decade long presence, enriching the community's diverse culinary and cultural landscape.
